How to take better care of your buoy

With a good float, it can only be used and maintained correctly!

Buoys are the most "arrogant" of commonly used fishing tackle and must be protected at all times. Moreover, the buoys used by ordinary fishermen are no longer 3 yuan or 5 yuan each. The grade is constantly improving and the price is also soaring. Even if you are not a fishing friend who often participates in competitions, you still have a few buoys worth tens of yuan or even more than one hundred yuan in your hands. Once it is not maintained properly, the loss is not small.

1. Select and use the appropriate standard box. A good horse is equipped with a good saddle. Since you have spent a lot of money on expensive buoys, you can’t begrudge spending money on buying a buoy box that suits your buoys. It doesn’t have to be expensive, but it can’t be dealt with. The traditional 2 yuan buoys are absolutely not suitable, and it is enough for you to see that a dozen buoys are placed in it and rub against each other. Now there are many kinds of label boxes on the market, with many pins, and each label can be fixed in the box independently, which not only avoids friction, but also ensures flat storage. One more thing to pay attention to is the competitive standard barrel. There are several independent sealed tubes in each standard barrel, and each tube contains one label, which can be soaked in water before use. The most standard standard box is the one with sliders. Each label is fixed with a slider to clamp the shoulder. The distance between the slider and the foot can be adjusted back and forth according to the needs, which can ensure that the tail of the label is not subject to external force. deformed by action.

2. Pay attention to avoid bumping and squeezing when using. The rubber buoy seats used now are all small and have strong elasticity. When assembling and dismounting the buoy on the line group, the strength must be moderate, otherwise the feet of the buoy will be broken if you do not pay attention. When throwing and lifting the rod, always pay attention not to knock the buoy on the fishing rod, especially when the rod is lifted empty or the line group is suddenly unhooked, the buoy is most likely to bounce on the rod. Temporarily replaced buoys should not be randomly placed, but should be put into the standard box in time. Otherwise, it is not only easy to step on it, but also easy to fall into the fishing ground.

3. Clean and dry in time after use. Every time you collect the rod, you can use a soft cloth (glasses cloth, etc.) or paper towel to dip some clean water (do not use the water from the fishing point, but use the usual drinking water) to thoroughly wipe the buoy clean. Remember not to rush home with the pole, just put away the poles indiscriminately and you're done. An article by a fishing friend suggested rubbing the mark with leftover bait from fishing, but I don’t know what it means. Most commercial baits contain chemical ingredients, which will damage the topcoat of the buoy to a certain extent.

4. Do not modify the buoy at will. The DIY family among fishing friends is growing day by day. It is understandable that you can change the handle rod into a dual-purpose rod, modify a bait tray, a fishing bench, etc., but don’t be "dissatisfied" with the buoy. Let's do some processing, that's not what we "amateur ranks" are capable of. The center of gravity of the finished buoy is carefully designed, and the technical standards for the material, paint, and topcoat of the buoy are very high. It is difficult for non-professional factories to do it well. All kinds of so-called "hand-made by so-and-so" in the market are just gimmicks, and fishing friends must not take it seriously.
